My name is Tamara Elwira Cantillo Urbanczyk. I am a multicultural person, I am half Polish and half Colombian, but I was born in Russia. I am finishing my MA Digital Media Arts at University of Brighton, United Kingdom.

I am a person with many goals, purposes, dreams and sensitivity for different cultures. I am passionate about traveling, art, photography, learning new languages, exploring different countries and their culture. I enjoy history, geography and meeting new people. In 2017      I graduated from Social Communication (Pontifical Xavierian University - Bogota, Colombia) and I am an Audiovisual Producer.

I have been doing my Master in Digital Media Arts at the University of Brighton for almost two years. I am passionate about discovering new techniques where the importance of history is reflected through art. I like to create, learn and innovate with new tools.

For my Master´s final project, I decided to bring to the Digital Media Arts the famous Legend of El Dorado. I created an infinity mirror which is the symbolic representation of the Lagoon of Guatavita in Colombia, where the Legend of El Dorado was originated. Thanks to the Arduino (an open-source platform used to build electronics projects), I managed to create a fragment in code of the song: "Pirates of the Caribbean" (symbolic representation of the conquerors to the Muisca´s land) and I also created Augmented Reality of the lost pre-Columbian gold objects. Each time anyone gets close to my infinity mirror, this person has the opportunity to scan through their mobile phones or tablets, the lost objects of  Guatavita Lagoon and live an experience of encounter with the pre-Columbian culture.
